You ain’t the first beauty in this world You ain’t the last beauty in this world So take the pressure off and sit right down You ain’t the last beauty in this world You’re not the first to have these thoughts You’re not the last to have these thoughts So share your story and share it wide You’re not the last to have these thoughts You aren’t the first to write this song You aren’t the last to write this song So sing it loud for all to hear You aren’t the first to write this song You ain’t the first beauty in this world You ain’t the last beauty in this world So take the pressure off and sit right down You ain’t the last beauty in this world

I ain’t searching for the next best thing I’ve had to do myself some untangling All I really need is to live my life the way I want Not searching for the next best thing I wanna be right here right now That’s what we have forgotten somehow Connection comes when we let our roots touch ground I wanna be right here right now How can we change when our vision is so narrow How do we read between the lines of 10,000 years of lies We have to consider humans are worth saving Believe we are sacred and divine I’m ready for the healing to begin Get myself out of this box that they stuck me in How do you leave when there is no door? I’m ready for the healing to begin Won’t be giving any more of my time Almost let this illness drain me dry Life is just too precious watching days go by Won’t be giving any more of my time Peace begins when we look in the mirror Shatter systems of oppression where few come out on top Share everything and take away their power There is no yours no mine I ain’t searching for the next best thing I’ve had to do myself some untangling All I really need is to live my life the way I want Not searching for the next best thing Not searching for the next best thing Not searching for the next best thing

Let me entertain you Let me sing you a song Let me entertain you Won’t you sing along Let me hold you In the palm of my hand Hold you and love you The best that I can Remember wisdom of elders Is wisdom of youth Don’t forget to change your point of view Let me believe you When you show me the way Your experience matters It’s important today Do you feel scared When you open your eyes Let your Grandmother's voice Guide you through your life   Remember wisdom of elders Is wisdom of youth Don’t forget to change your point of view We came from the Earth We’ll return when we die The wheel keeps turning With the ocean tide I’ll be with you Through your life Let me entertain you Like my Mother did

Hey little Armadillo Just beside the road Bet you’ve got some stories that are often left untold I’m sorry for the way we live I know it makes no sense When our comfort comes at others expense Hey little Armadillo Solitary soul You might not have good sight but you sure know how to roll Keeping yourself safe with your tough tough skin Looks like I could be using some of your protection   You’ve got lots of life to live You’ve got lots of love to give Hey little Armadillo I wonder how it feels To live in a body that is basically a shield With your long sticky tongue and your keen sense of smell Finding food to eat is something you do well Hey little Armadillo Eco-engineer Making lots of habitats for other creatures near If I pay attention I know I’ve got lots to learn The medicine you give I’d like to one day return   You’ve got lots of life to live You’ve got lots of love to give You’ve got lots of life to live You’ve got lots of love to give Hey little Armadillo Just beside the road Bet you’ve got some stories that are often left untold I’m sorry for the way we live I know it makes no sense When our comfort comes at others expense You’ve got lots of life to live You’ve got lots of love to give You’ve got lots of life to live You’ve got lots of love to give

Didn’t ask you for much Just to take care of me I gave you the Rains I gave you the Sea Your brother was the Wolf Your sister the Tree Now in your hour of need You have forsaken me   My skin is burning And your hands are red Little voices echo in my head I can’t breathe, your knee is on my neck When will you come back to me?   Instructions I gave Passed down through the ages White man he came Let his pain turn to hate Divisions the device Used to separate Black Lives Matter Decolonize your mind You don’t own anything Learn to let go   My skin is burning And your hands are red Little voices echo in my head I can’t breathe, your knee is on my neck I can’t breathe, your knee is on my neck Your knee is on my neck I can’t breathe When will you come back to me   It’s time to wake up From your self induced sleep Question everything and your complicity Remember your way back to imagined dreams Slow down so we can sync our heartbeat

Wind: Do you hear the sound each raindrop makes As it reaches out and touches ground? Man: I haven’t listened to the rain I haven’t listened to the birds, I haven’t listened to the trees, The water or myself I feel uncomfortable and small Like I don’t matter much at all I’ve spent my life snuffing it out Wind: Oh my child take your hand Place it on your beating heart That’s where we will start Close your eyes and go inside Calm the whispers of your mind Open wider than you ever have before   Together: We don’t know where we’re going And we haven’t been there yet If we all go together Raising our voices If we look inside each other Promise never to forget We’ll drop this forced pretence Embrace our differences Man: Say something Your silence is not good enough We all regret not speaking up Before it's too late Together: Say something Your silence is not good enough We all regret not speaking up Now's the time We don’t know where we’re going And we haven’t been there yet Let curiosity lead the way And sharing be our safety net As we go, we go we’re singing A celebration song Our power is inside of us We all want to belong Man: Say something Your silence is not good enough We all regret not speaking up Now's the time Together: Say something Your silence is not good enough We all regret not speaking up Now's the time Wind: Do you hear the sound each raindrop makes As it reaches out and touches ground?

The Unknown 03:58
Death was a thing that we all were afraid of Holding it close to our hearts Burying the stuff that we all are made of Saying goodbye's where we start I didn’t want to let go So tightly into the unknown   You found me and held me and said it’s ok It’s ok not to be ok Remember that life is a circle in circles This will all be a story someday I didn’t want to let go So tightly into the unknown I didn’t want to let go So tightly into the unknown Broken in pieces I can’t pick you up I can’t hold your hand in mine But the shadows they lifted and I was gifted Intertwining understanding of time I, I let go Deeper into the unknown I, I let go Deeper into the unknown Now I see you everywhere in every breath In every person who says they love me I see you more clearly than I ever have Death paved the way for our free I, I let go Deeper into the unknown I, I let go Deeper into the unknown I, I let go Deeper into the unknown

Fire 03:03
In these heavy times it’s not enough To sit around watch things get rough It’s time to make a choice and take a stand Before it’s too late The fire is in you The fire is in you It’s been going on for quite some time Us privileged choose to deny Don’t you believe that you and I Can change our world? The fire is in you The fire is in you Let’s rise together as one Use our differences to create union The power of the whole Will make us unbeatable The fire is in you The fire is in you Spread, smoulder Kissed by fire Forever changed Visions dancing in the embers The tree that burns Regenerates Don’t look at the news anymore I decide what comes through my door We can’t ignore we must explore The fire in me The fire is in you The fire is in you Burn let it burn Burn let it burn Burn let it burn Burn let it burn

There are many roads you can travel I must admit that I don’t know Which road is the one that I should take Which road will lead to our dreams Or do they all lead to the same place Oh this fork is breaking me mmmmmmm Breaking me Are you waiting for someone to guide you? Are you waiting for some greater plan? It won’t come in the form that you're looking It won’t come if you're not open You’ve got to dive right in Like never before take risks mmmmmmm Take risks If we practice every day How we want to live Find pleasure despite the pain Right now, Begin   Now every generation Has a learning curve of growth Gets us closer to where we must go Gets us closer to our way home It’s a moment to break cycles We’ve got our choice at the fork in the road mmmmmmm Fork in the road Look to the sky for answers They are the lights that guide us all Hopes and dreams of Ancestors Burning bright their legacy Honour where we come from Remember harmony mmmmmmm Harmony   If we practice every day How we want to live Find pleasure despite the pain Right now, Begin If we practice every day How we want to live Find pleasure despite the pain Right now, Begin Right now, Begin Right now, Begin

Sweet 03:23
You make my life sweet And you make my life good You make my life sweet And it’s so good And I don’t worry When you’re not around Our hearts are peas in a pod And we’ll always be found   You cook me dinner When I haven’t eaten all day You cook me dinner So I don’t fade away You take better care Then I do of myself Even when I’m hangry and tired My heart still melts   When I’m too fast Well you slow me down Help me remember To look around We got all we need Right here in these hearts I can count on your laughter Through the yucky parts   You make my life sweet And you make my life good You make my life sweet And it’s so good And I don’t worry When you’re not around Our hearts are peas in a pod And we’ll always be found   You make my life sweet And you make my life good You make my life sweet And it’s so good And I don’t worry When you’re not around Our hearts are peas in a pod And we’ll always be found   You make my life sweet And you make my life good You make my life sweet And it’s so good And I don’t worry When you’re not around Our hearts are peas in a pod And we’ll always be found

about

Piper & Carson's newest musical creation is centered on the themes of healing trauma, shifting narratives, reconciliation and seeking wonder. Edgewalker's Remedy is a musical exploration of people’s intersections: showcasing shifting paradigms and encouraging examination. We must reframe our relationship with the planet and move away from the idea of hierarchy; remember everything is cyclical and we have a role to play as stewards. This collection of songs will help disarm the listener and nudge them towards healing, asking questions, reclaiming their power and joy.
